Built by Baldwin in the 1940's, the VO-1000 diesel locomotives could be found in both yard and mainline service across the country. Atlas' version, recreated for the first time ever in N scale (in plastic), is a true replica of the handsome engine.

Features Include:
-Directional lighting
-Step guards and exhaust stacks as appropriate per railroad
-Painted safety rails
-Blackened metal wheels
-Factory-equipped with AccuMate® knuckle couplers
-Improved slower speed motor for closer to scale speeds!
-NEW! White LED's
-Two versions: Decoder-equipped (Lenz) or non-decoder equippe
These locos will not contain Rapido couplers in the box ... and cannot be easily converted to Rapido style couplers. They will be delivered with factory installed Accu-Mate couplers.
